We want to identify and honour Canadian girls who, despite their young age, have contributed to their community in a positive way.

All Canadian girls, age 12 and under, who have seen a need and, with energy, ingenuity and commitment, worked towards meeting that need are eligible.

We are looking for girls from all parts of Canada, from communities large and small and from all walks of life. We are looking for girls who have helped one or many, who have done it with much fanfare or quietly unnoticed, whether within their family, their school, the community or beyond, and in whatever area of concern.

The mission of the Maplelea Girls product line is to make a difference in the lives of Canadian girls by providing dolls and activity products that promote creative play, healthy active lifestyles and a knowledge and pride of the country we live in. Based on the knowledge that toys and books can be powerful educational tools, Maplelea was developed by a dedicated team of Canadian women with a primary objective of enlightening and inspiring our daughters.

Through the Maplelea characters, our daughters come to learn that although Canadian girls are all unique individuals, they share certain values, aspirations and a belief in themselves and their country. The Maplelea Girls are upbeat, energetic, positive role models who are both an inspiration to, and a reflection of, Canadian girls from coast to coast to coast.

Now we are looking for real Canadian girls who embody the Maplelea spirit, and who, like their fictional counterparts, are positive role models for other young girls.
